The Foster Caretaker must provide adequate husbandry, including water, food, shelter, socialization, training/play, and any prescribed medication.
Who retains ownership of the Foster Animal(s)?
The Foster Animal(s) remain the sole property of Pasadena Humane at all times.
What must the Foster Caretaker do if they wish to change their contact information?
The Foster Caretaker must notify Pasadena Humane of any changes in address or telephone number.
What happens if the Foster Animal(s) require extensive medical care?
Pasadena Humane may request the immediate return of the Foster Animal(s) and may euthanize them for humane reasons.
How long are Foster Animals in the Foster to Adopt program not available for adoption to others?
Foster Animals enrolled in the Foster to Adopt program are not available for adoption to anyone other than the Foster Caretaker for 14 days after enrollment.
What happens if the Foster Caretaker violates the terms of the Agreement?
Pasadena Humane has the right to reclaim the Foster Animal(s) if the Foster Caretaker violates any provisions of the contract.
What does the Foster Caretaker agree to regarding risks associated with fostering?
The Foster Caretaker assumes all risks and liabilities associated with providing foster care, including injury or property damage.
In what state does this Agreement abide by the laws?
This Agreement is interpreted according to the laws of the State of California.
What does the Foster Caretaker consent to regarding liability waivers?
The Foster Caretaker waives all claims against Pasadena Humane related to the fostering of the animals.
What is provided to the Foster Caretaker at no charge?
An initial health exam, vaccinations, medication for minor ailments, food, and caging where applicable.
