French Indian war

Started in Western Pennsylvania and was called the 7 years war even though it lasted 9 years from 1754 - 1763. Founding father George Washington fought in the war. The war starts when the Ohio company receives land grant from the governor of Virginia. The French weren’t happy with that and said that they can’t have the land and then the war started.

Proclamation Act

Forbided settlement west of the Appalachian Mountains and reserved that territory for the Indians. The settlers got mad because they just fought a war for that right to settle in that territory so then they completely ignored the line and started settling in that territory.

Decreased how much the tax on molasses was, but actually made people pay for it. Colonists got mad and said it was just a excuse to make more money from them.
